Keynote Speaker.
Adventure Athlete.
Mental Health Advocate.
Jamie Leibert brings a story no one else has — 80+ countries, four years in federal prison, a meth addiction he still manages every day, and a movement built to prove that the only way out is through.
Four Talks.
One Core Truth.
Every talk draws directly from lived experience — not a framework Jamie learned, but the one he built to survive.
Using adventure to fight for mental health. The monsters we carry — addiction, trauma, incarceration, shame — grow when ignored. This talk shows what happens when you stop running and start climbing. Built for audiences that need proof the work is real and available to anyone.
Building resilience under pressure. Jamie's mantra is not inspiration — it's a daily operating system. This talk breaks down the five-minute Monster Management practice and shows why consistency beats motivation every single time. Practical. Honest. No filler.
Reentry, recovery, and finding purpose after the worst. Group homes, foster care, 13 years in the system, four years in federal prison — and then 80+ countries. This talk is for organizations working in reentry, recovery, or second-chance hiring who need a story that hits without sugarcoating.
A meth addiction doesn't disappear. Jamie still manages his every day — and that's the point. This talk is for healthcare, recovery, and wellness audiences who work with people in the long game. No redemption arc. Just the daily practice of not letting the monster win.
A Story No One Else Has
Jamie Leibert, known as Captain Manicorn, is a professional adventure athlete and filmmaker whose climbs and flights span 80+ countries. He climbs into the world's most remote places and flies out by wingsuit and mini-wing. He spent about 13 years in the system — group homes through four years in federal prison — and beat a meth addiction he still manages every day. He built Just Care More to help kids, then realized he had to heal himself first. Now he leads the Battling Monsters movement, using adventure to fight for mental health. He is directing El Monstruo, an in-production Battling Monsters film.
